During a rally in Krishnanagar, Nadia district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing them of widespread corruption. Modi coined a phrase, alleging that for TMC, “Tu, Main aur Corruption” (you, me, and corruption) are intertwined. He set an ambitious goal for the BJP in West Bengal, aiming to secure victory in all 42 Lok Sabha seats.
Modi criticized the TMC for what he described as “atrocities, dynasty politics, and betrayal,” asserting that the people of West Bengal are disillusioned with the state government’s performance. He highlighted the Sandeshkhali incident, where TMC leaders faced allegations of sexual abuse. Instead of supporting the victims, Modi claimed, the state government stood by the accused.

“The distressed mothers and sisters of Sandeshkhali pleaded for justice, but the TMC government turned a deaf ear,” Modi said, expressing dismay over the situation in Bengal. He accused the TMC of betraying their promise of “Maa Mati Manush” (mother, land, and people), lamenting that the state’s women are now in tears while the criminals roam free.
