Mangaluru: The State government is preparing to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Land Reforms Act, a significant legislation that granted land ownership to numerous landless laborers across the country. Minister of Revenue, Krishna Byregowda, announced this initiative during a beneficiary convention held at Kallapu in Ullal. Byregowda praised the Land Reforms Act, which was enacted in 1974 under the leadership of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, as a groundbreaking decision by the Congress party.
