Unlock £100K Grant: Boost Numeracy Skills with Moray Council’s New Initiative
Moray Council has introduced a fresh initiative known as Multiply, offering a grant scheme totaling £100,000 to support organizations addressing numeracy challenges. Multiply, funded by the UK Government, aims to enhance people’s confidence with numbers, whether for everyday tasks, learning, or financial management.
The scheme aims to assist groups and entities committed to improving numeracy skills within their communities. While some projects may focus on guiding individuals toward formal qualifications, others will concentrate on practical numeracy improvements for daily life.
Moray already benefits from the involvement of several third-sector partners delivering Multiply activities. Now, the council is encouraging new applications from groups familiar with or actively engaged in assisting individuals who struggle with numeracy.
Interested parties can apply for grants up to £25,000, with the application deadline set for midnight on Sunday, April 14, 2024. The application form is available online for submission.
Cllr Kathleen Robertson, Chair of Moray Council’s Education, Children’s, and Leisure Services Committee, urges potential applicants to seize this opportunity, acknowledging the significant impact such initiatives can have on boosting numeracy skills and expressing appreciation for existing community efforts in this regard.
